Steve Hanson Regional Head Golf Professional
Steve has been the Head Golf Professional at Lopez Legacy since 2009 and in the summer of 2024, he was given the responsibilities of Glenview Champions. Originally from Iowa, Steve earned a BS degree in business through the Professional Golf Management program at New Mexico State University. Later Steve earned his MBA from King College. Steve, and his wife Brenda, have 4 children and 5 grandchildren.

Brennan Dahl Assistant Golf Professional
Hometown: Vacaville, CA
Brennan moved to The Villages in September of 2020 after serving in the Air Force for 8 years as a fighter jet mechanic. He continued his career with the United States Post Office as a Supervisor for 12 years. After moving to The Villages, in 2020, Brennan worked for the retail department as the R&D supervisor. Brennan passed the PGAs Player Ability Test in June of 2024 and is working toward PGA membership. He became the new Golf Manager, at Lopez Country Club, in July 2024 to learn golf operations. Brennan and his wife Ariana have a daughter named Breanna who attends The Villages Charter School. He enjoys playing Golf with friends and family.

Dorine LeBlanc Golf Staff Lead
Hometown: New Bedford, MA
Originally from Massachusetts, Dorine moved to The Villages in 2015 after spending 24 years in the Albany NY area. Dorine retired from the Air Force Reserve after serving over 28 years as an Executive Officer and Financial Manager

Greg Simmons Golf Staff Lead
Hometown: Winter Park, FL
Greg moved to The Villages in 2004 and has been part of the Lopez staff for over 10 years. Prior to his retirement Greg worked as Director of Communications for federal, state, and local law enforcement and supporting public safety agencies. Greg previously worked for Homeland Security and with more than 30 years in the telecommunications and Aerospace he participated in the development and testing of the first space shuttle Enterprise, the B-1 bomber, and ultra-low frequency transmission testing for the U.S. Navy.

Tammy Focken Golf Staff Lead
Hometown: Liberty, IL
A University of Houston graduate and retired Administrative Manager/Treasurer from the 2nd largest Agriculture Fair in the State of Illinois. My husband Michael and I relocated to sunny Florida to be close to family and enjoy our retirement years. After spending many days golfing and enjoying all the amenities the Villages has to offer, I decided retirement was not for me and joined Lopez Legacy Golf Staff where I continue to meet so many people from all over the country. We have one daughter and three grandchildren who reside in Houston Texas. We are loving the Sunshine State and spending time with family, friends and our two mini aussies

Bob Beattie Golf Staff Lead
Hometown: Detroit, MI
Originally from Detroit Michigan, I moved to the Villages in 2003. I spent 32 years in LTL Transportation and 16 years as a restaurant owner here in the Villages before joining the Lopez Staff in 2022.

Tom KutcherGolf Staff Lead
Hometown: Cincinnati, OH
Tom and his wife Jenny moved to the Villages in 2021 from Murray, KY. Tom has been a member of the Lopez team since 2022. Prior to his retirement Tom worked as a process engineer and trainer in the water treatment field for 50 years. He holds a master’s degree in engineering from Marquette University. Tom grew up in Milwaukee, WI, spent 40+ years in the Cincinnati, Oh area, then 7 years in western KY. He loves playing golf, which has been his passion since he was a teenager. Tom and his wife have 5 children combined and thirteen grandchildren.

Shirley Keeney Tournament Liaison
Hometown: College Park, MD
After graduation from Frostburg State College, Shirley moved to Baltimore where she taught Physical Education in the public school system for 8 years before becoming a police agent in the Baltimore Police Department for 20 years. After retirement in 2003, Shirley moved to The Villages and went to work as a starter on the executive courses. In 2011 Shirley became the Tournament Liaison for The Lopez Legacy Country Club where she enjoys working with all of the men and women throughout The Villages who participate in tournament play.
